Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox)

The PADI Enriched Air Diver Specialty program is the most popular specialty program of all.  Diving with enriched air (air with oxygen content from 22% to 40%) allows you to safely extend your no stop time beyond the no decompression limits for air.  Diving with enriched air means more time underwater thus provides a number of benefits to scuba divers depending on the type of diving they do.

Prerequisites:

  • Be 15 years of age or older

  • Be certified as a PADI Open Water diver or have a qualifying certification from another training organization

Program Structure:

1) Knowledge Development
2 modules through independent study and in a classroom (including completing the knowledge reviews and final examination)

  2) Open Water Dives - 2 enriched air dives which may be conducted in 1 day

  - 2D2N at Pulau Dayang, Malaysia

  - 2D2N at Pulau Tioman, Malaysia

  - 2D2N at Pulau Tinggi, Malaysia

Diver Certification:

After you have successfully completed the program, you will receive your PADI Enriched Air Diver specialty certification.


Note: Student divers, participating in the PADI Open Water Diver program, who have completed open water dives 1, 2 and 3 may complete enriched air training dive 1 combined with open water dive 4.  Student divers completing this option must be certified as PADI Open Water Diver prior to enriched air training dive 2.
