Junior Open Water Diver

Enroll your children in the PADI Junior Open Water program and the whole family can escape to a wonderful island, and can explore and experience the wonders of the blue earth.  Absolutely unforgettable!

Prerequisites:

  • From 10 to 15 years of age

  • Complete a 10-minute swim/float without using any swim aids

  • Complete a 200 metre continuous surface swim or a 300 metre swim with mask, snorkel and fins

Program Structure:

1) Knowledge Development
5 modules through independent study and in a classroom (including knowledge reviews and final examination)
When: Every Monday and Tuesday
Time: 18:45pm – 22:00pm (approx)

2) Confined Water Dives
5 modules of scuba skills in a swimming pool/confined environment
When: Every Sunday
Time: 9:00am – 15:30pm (approx)

3) Open Water Dives
- 2D2N (4 training dives) at Pulau Dayang, Malaysia

- 2D2N (4 training dives) at Pulau Tioman, Malaysia

- 2D2N (4 training dives) at Pulau Tinggi, Malaysia

- 2 days (4 training dives) at Pulau Hantu, Singapore

Diver Certification:

After the diver has successfully completed the program, he/she will receive his/her PADI Junior Open Water Diver certification.


He/she may upgrade his/her certification level to the PADI Open Water Diver when he/she reaches the age of 15 with no additional requirements (Note: If more than 1 year has passed since he/she earned the junior certification, when requesting an upgrade, it is recommended that the diver completes the PADI Scuba Review program).


Otherwise, continue his/her scuba diving education with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver program, his/her next level in discovering and exploring the underwater world, when he/she reaches the age of 12.


* There are special requirements for student divers who are 10 and 11- year-olds.
