| Pulau Dayang |
|
Many islands in Malaysia have the perfect ingredients to be tropical paradises. Blessed with crystal clear waters, white powdery sands, swaying palms and sunny skies, Pulau Dayang is definitely among them. Far from the maddening crowd, the island offers opportunities to explore underwater havens or just to laze around. Pulau Dayang has an unusual scenic beauty that makes it an idyllic weekend getaway for scuba divers and non-divers. Located 72km off the coastal town of Mersing along the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, its remote location ensures good visibility and a variety of marine life -- from macro critters like colourful nudibranchs to bigger fish like bumphead parrotfish and barracuda. At certain times of the season, divers can encounter large pelagics such as whale sharks, manta rays and eagle rays. Pulau Dayang offers a diving environment for all levels of training.
