Today, the island is a peaceful and idyllic getaway. Complete with swaying palms, surrounded by white sands and rich reefs. There is even a tiny patch of mangroves.
Pulau Hantu is located 8 km south of Singapore mainland and it is actually made up of two islets: Hantu Besar (Big Ghost) and Hantu Kecil (Little Ghost). Despite its name, the island is a favorite haunt with scuba divers and anglers. There is a saying “If you can dive in Pulau Hantu, you can dive anywhere in the world”.
